ピアノの積み木 （TONO-PIANO）
四万十檜の間伐材を使用した積み木。軟らかく変形しやすい木の特性を集成材とすることで解決し、さらに、集成材への塗装の染込み具合の差により、自然のストライプを創出、檜の特徴である年輪の美しさを際立たせ、傷も目立ちにくくした。単なる間伐材利用から一歩進め、材料そのものの魅力を創出した。間伐材の利用促進により林業の活性化と持続可能な社会づくりへの貢献を目指した。
The blocks which are made by the timber from forest-thinning of
Hinoki cypress. The demerit of the timber from forest-thinning such as soft and
easy to transform compared to normal timber, were solved by making timber glued
laminated one. Moreover, creating natural stripes by the contrast of different
level of soaking for coating to glued laminated timber, the beauty of the growth
rings of Hinoki was pointed up and made scratch not be stand out. It was not
only just utilizing timber from forest-thinning but also it was created
attractiveness of the materials itself as a step forward. It aims contribution
to the activation of forestry and the development of sustainable society by
enhancing utilization of the timber from forest-thinning.
